Human Skull Overview
October 12, 2009
The human skull, as you can see, is made up of many different bones. Although commonly mistaken as one large bone, it is much more complex than you would think. Let's take just a moment to list all of the bones that make up the human skull in case some of my viewers cannot read the lables.
The Crainal bones are the bones that enclose the brain.
Craineal Bones:
One Frontal Bone
Two Parietal Bones
Two Temporal Bones
One Occipital Bone
One Sphenoid Bone
One Ethmoid Bone
The Facial Bones Do Not Directly Touch the Brain!!!
Facial Bones:
Two Zygomatic Bones
One Superior Maxilla
One Inferior Maxilla
Two Nasal Bones
One Mandible
Two Palantine Bones
Two Lacrimal Bones
One Vomer Bone
Two Inferior Nasal Conchae Bones
I will NOT go into detail on the skull on this page please visit any other pages on the human skull that you see. I will probably add TWO more pages to the skull information I will also try to add a video. Thank you for viewing my page. If you see any corrections that need to be made, please send me an email to lgc5186@hotmail.com Thank You
